Get ready beekeepers; winter is coming!

“Preparing your bees for winter” will be our September 11 meeting topic presented by Kim Guillemette, a Master beekeeper and apiculture technician at NC State University.

Kim manages about 130 colonies in her role of supporting research and outreach in the NCSU apiculture program. She is a former Honey Bee Health Specialist for the Texas region at Bee Informed Partnership. A a member of the Beekeepers of the Neuse, she serves as that club’s treasurer and apiary manager. Kim operates Bartlett Bees Apiary & Farm with her very supportive husband. 

Bring an appetizer or desert and join us at the Orange County Center of the NC Cooperative Extension, 1020 US Highway 70 West in Hillsborough, at 6 pm for a time of food and conversation.
