If you go to Blackwood and walk up the hill to the apiary, what you might notice is nary a Tulip Poplar to be seen, but acres and acres of flowering meadow and deciduous forest. This honey is different. I got out my UC Davis Honey wheel and to my nose and tastebuds –
Aroma – fruity, Flavors – molasses and grape, Primary taste -sweet then salty, Texture – thick viscous, Finish – long and lingering.
1 lb jar of honey from the OCBA Community Apiary at Blackwood Farm.
