Don Hopkins is our local state apiary inspector, and also the head inspector of this program which is part of the State of North Carolina’s Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.  He has been keeping bees since he was 10 years old, and has been working as an apiary inspector with the NC Department of Agriculture since 1989.  We’re very lucky to have him as our local inspector and as a speaker this month!
