OCBA members who experience a disruption in life that renders them unable to care for their bees may request assistance from volunteer beekeepers who will provide temporary apiary care.

Life can throw us curve balls – a health issue, the need to travel out of state to help family, an extended business trip. When life happens, the OCBA has experienced beekeeper volunteers who are available to provide supportive, short-term apiary care for up to 2 months. They will develop a plan with you for short-term care. If you are unable to be involved in the short-term care planning, care will be provided following best beekeeping practice guidelines.
